Melissa asked:
I have tons of old baseball cards, I am sure they are worth a lot of money. I do not want to sell them on Ebay because that would be very time consuming and would take sorting them out individually and posting them. I do not have that kind of time so I was wondering if there was a way I could send them somewhere in bulk and make a little money off of them?

My sister found a bunch of old baseball cards that her no-good fiance left at her house. She has a huge binder full and knows nothing about baseball. How would she go about finding their value without looking them up one by one on ebay? What shouldn’t she do?

rllnstn172 asked: A friend of mine recently came across a box of older (1980’s and on) baseball and other sports/trading cards. Most are well known brands (Topps, etc.) and almost all are sealed packages.
Other than searching through ebay for each individual pack/card/set, or trusting a local memorabilia dealer, is there an efficient way to find out if these cards are worth any value? Or would it be better to open the packs and search for uncommon cards?

charyl92678 asked: I have a 1000+ lot of mostly common (multiples of some) Mint/Near Mint 1989 (various brands and teams) baseball cards. Looking up the prices online—it seems that most of the commons are worth about .10 a piece. However, I also have a handful that are worth a few dollars or so. I think the most valuable are a few rookie cards of Randy Johnson.
I would like to sell at least most of the cards all together in one big lot—Where would be the best place to sell them (Ebay, a hobby shop, shopping sites, etc…)? AND about what general price should I sell the lot for in your opinion?
Thanks!
Emily

Quazgayo asked:
The cards came in cereal boxes in the 70’s and continued for many years. There are not many cards in an entire years set. I was wondering why they do not seem to show alot of interest from collectors as I have seen in eBay! I would have to think that there was a limited number of them made at that time and you just don’t seem to see them that much anywhere. I was interested in getting a few would I be throwing my money away?

I have seen that some of the old baseball cards are in a plastic sleeve and have very detailed ratings on them. Where does one go to get this done and how much does it cost? Thanks!

Mr Chris asked:
I always thought that competition among sellers at eBay ultimately led to the collapse in the value of baseball cards, but a friend believes that values collapsed before eBay was ever a factor. Does anyone know when baseball cards became essentially worthless?

I’v been looking browsing for baseball cards on ebay and noticed that almost all the cards for sale were sealed in a plastic package and on top had the name, year and grade 1-10. I was wondering how I can get that for my pricey cards???
